Dance direct at UK Dance Wars for a healthy body and healthy mind. It is our aim to encourage young people into taking part in our Street Dance lessons to build self confidence, develop team work, and most importantly Sportsmanship. We are a like minded community based in London and Surrey, who all share a passion for Dance, Music and Fun. We want to encourage young people to fulfil their potential through dance, to provide a social and entertaining forum for people with diverse interests and backgrounds.
Dance Direct
Not many people understand that Street Dance is not one dance, it is made up of many different dance styles, so it really makes it one of the most difficult.
The name Street comes from where the Dance originated.
A street dancer must be a well-rounded athlete, with good flexibility, strength, stamina and own unique Style being key. A lot of commitment is needed to become a Street Dancer but it is a brilliant form of physical exercise.
We teach all aspects of Street Dance broken down by our own syllabus for easy progression and gradual learning. Our lessons cover all types of Street Dance including; Breakdance, Locking, Popping, Hip-Hop, House, Nu-Style, and Krumpin.
Every three months students are graded on what they have learned and if they pass are awarded a certificate and wrist band for they grade.
Our classes no matter your age or ability, focuses on building your confidence and are about having fun. By joining a class you are joining our Dance Wars family.
We also offer a range of After School Activities and College Courses including;
Street Dance, Free Running, DJ & Scratching and Music Production

Uk Dance wars is a great place to practice and learn different styles of dance, it's always a friendly and posotive atmosphere and welcomes those of all levels. It has exceptional teachers, and learners of great potential and skill. Personally i love the family feel you receive from being at UKDW, and wish i had even more free time to be there.
I been looking for something to get the kids off the computer and doing something worthwhile at the weekend i found UK Dance Wars Street Dance In Croydon and my problems are solved, only about a ten min drive from East Croydon, i love the way the teachers get the kids excited and engaged, always coming home happy and eager to show me a new move or lil trick they learnt that day

Uk dance wars is like my family, i can realate to them all and i can rely on every one. i've learnt so many new things i don't like to leave, that place is another home to me
My son and his best friend joined Ricky's streetdance class last Friday and haven't stopped talking about it and practising their moves since! Ricky is fab with the kids
I've been coming for just over 6 months and i have really enjoyed myself. The teachers are really nice and encourage you to do things you never thought you would do. I love it and my little brother hopes to start soon aswell :)
This has been an awesome experience for my boy, he has found his confidence through dance and the encouragement of the team, kids and teachers alike, it really feels like a dance community, get involved! :D
HI I just finished the half term workshop and now i liked it so much i am going to join!!! :)
Our son (age 12) joined Dance Wars in August 2010. He attends 2 classes a week (4hrs) at the Phoenix centre in Wallington.
The fascilities are clean, safe and very inviting, a great enviroment for the kids.
The dance teacher is extremly talented with a fabulous sense of humour, cleverly co-ordinated with discipline. I am amazed at how the kids display great respect for the teachers and for each other.
It's great value for money and my son absolutely loves being there.
I have no hesitation in letting William attend days out under the supervision of the team leaders who I can trust, and I totally recommending this dance class.
Befor i came to uk dance wars i coudent do one pressup now im doing hand stands head spins sit ups sit ups its great enyone shoud try it out its awsome :)
=) been looking for the right street dance class for my 6 year old daughter for a while. Defo found it now. The guys are awesome and my girl is well happy. Keeping it real!!!!
My Sam loves it and can't get enough. Always practising at home and Keigan does a great job with the kids.

My girls loved there lesson,was made very welcome and throughly enjoyed themselfs,plus it wore them out,which helps me out.wicked classes!!!!! Would defo recommend to anyone wanting to dance!
